Merry Christmas~Card

I don’t want to rush Christmas, but I’ve learned that it kind of sneaks up on a person. I swear time speeds up the last two weeks before Christmas. I can’t prove it, but it’s a theory of mine.

I created this card using mini-snowflake dies, distress spray stains, and an embossing folder. I sprayed Cracked Pistachio and Broken China distress spray stains onto the embossing folder, inserted a piece of watercolor paper into it, and ran it through my Big Shot. After the watercolor paper dried, I sprayed Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist over it. Truth be told, it didn’t look good-the two colors looked like separate big splotches. (I’m still trying to get the hang of using distress spray stains.) My first thought was to throw the piece of watercolor paper away; but, I’ve learned…if I don’t like the whole sheet, then maybe it can be used in a different way. It worked perfectly to create the snowflakes, using the mini-snowflake dies, along with my Big Shot.

I used both Scor-tape and Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere the snowflakes to the cardstock. Maybe overkill, but they’re not going anywhere. (You should see me wrap a package when it’s going out in the mail!) It was the first time I used Ranger Glossy Accents, to adhere the embellishments to the snowflakes. It really does a good job of holding them securely. They’re not moving either!
