Mystic Fairy

I created this card using a design from the Silhouette Design Store, Alcohol Pearls, a Spellbinders die, and a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch.

To begin the card, I put drops of Tranquil Alcohol Pearls onto a piece of Yupo paper and used a Giottos air blaster to control the spread of the ink. After the alcohol ink dried, I sprayed two coats of Krylon Matte Finish to seal the ink, waiting about 20 minutes between each coat. (Please use adequate ventilation when working with alcohol inks and sealers.)

I used my Cameo to cut the fairy design from the cardstock; my Sizzix Big Shot, along with the Spellbinders die, to die cut a shelf for the fairy to crouch on; and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch to create the butterfly. To add color to the shelf, I put Picked Raspberry distress ink on a glass media mat; spritzed it with water until the water beaded; and smooshed the die cut into the distress ink.

The fairy, shelf, and butterfly were adhered to the Yupo paper with Scor-Tape and Ranger Multi Medium Matte. To finish the card, the Yupo paper was attached to the white cardstock base with Scor-Tape.
