I created this card using stamps from Lavinia Stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Oxides, Lisilinka Metallic Watercolors, and a little bit of fairy magic.

To begin the card…I used a Picket Fence Studios blender brush, along with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide, to make a circle in the middle of the cardstock. I wasn’t too exact with the circle because the colors would be blended. Around that circle, I put Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, and Uncharted Mariner, in that order. I blended each color with the previous color before applying the next one. I used a separate brush for each distress oxide because contamination would have occurred when the colors touched each other, which would have resulted in a muddled look.
Next, I stamped the images using Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink. Sometimes, because of the background mediums I use, I don’t get a solid stamped image. Then I use a small paintbrush that I keep specifically for this purpose. I dab it onto the Nocturne ink pad and (very carefully) apply the paintbrush ink to any areas of the stamped image that aren’t a solid black. It works most every time.
To add some fairy magic, I used Lisilinka Metallic Watercolors on the flower petals and a clear Gelly Roll Pen on the flower stems, Seren’s wings, and the lantern. To preserve the card, I applied Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze and wiped the excess off with a white, cloth cotton kitchen towel.
To finish the card, I attached a black cardstock base with Scor-Tape.
