Lisilinka Watercolor/Sending Prayers

I created this card using Lisilinka watercolor and an embossing folder and sentiment from Altenew.

Recently, I began to notice Lisilinka watercolor artwork on social media while scrolling. I debated on whether to purchase these watercolors because the price point is on the high side. But I love the amazing glitter and metallic sheen that these provide. I also like how the watercolors are made by the Lisilinka team, who are located in Germany, and are 100% vegan and not harmful. In the end, my love of glitter and sparkle won out. I chose the Pure Prism set-they had me at ‘Homemade metallic watercolors with intense holo sparkle.’

To begin the card, I ran the Winter Foliage embossing folder, with the cardstock inside, through the Sizzix Big Shot. I used a paintbrush to cover the entire tree with the Lisilinka watercolor. I stamped and die-cut the sentiment strip and added Instant Dimension Foam tape to make the sentiment pop. As an added measure, I applied Gamblin Cold Wax Medium over the surface of the tree. That took away some of the sparkle, but the beautiful metallic shimmer remained.

Materials Used:

  • Lisilinka Watercolors, Pure Prism
  • Altenew: Winter Foliage Botanical 3D Embossing Folder; Heartfelt Sentiments; Featured Sentiments Die Set; Instant Dimension Foam Tape
  • Gamblin Cold Wax Medium
  • VersaFine Clair, Lilac Bloom

With every new medium, there’s a learning curve…but I’m excited to see what artwork I can create with these beautiful watercolors!

Wishing you a Wonderful day!!!
