I created this card using Lavinia stamps and Sacred SceneScapes cardstock.
This was a fun card to make!!!
I started with a sheet of Lavinia SceneScapes. There are several different designs, and each design comes in a pack of four. I think they’re beautiful backgrounds, with such a variety. The advantage of using SceneScapes is that the backgrounds are already done for you. I love to use different mediums to create backgrounds, but this was a nice change-so quick and easy. The sheets have a good weight to them-220gm.
I used Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink to stamp the Lavinia images; Stickles to create the lake; and outlined the moon, as well as highlighting some other areas, with a clear Jelly Roll Pen. When I put a stamp on the cardstock, I gave it a good press and let it sit there for a bit for the ink to soak into the paper. I dabbed a small paintbrush onto the Nocturne ink pad and filled in any areas where the inked images weren’t completely solid.
Materials Used:
- Lavinia SceneScapes-Sacred
- Core-dinations Cardstock Base, Hydrangea
- Lavinia Stamps: Zemira, Mideela (Small), Silhouette Castle, Tree of Faith, Fairy Bridge, and Stones (Large). (Tracey Lavinia Dutton is the artist of the Lavinia stamps and SceneScapes.)
- VersaFine Clair, Nocturne
- Ranger Stickles: Turquoise and Lavender
- Stardust Gelly Roll Pen, Sakura, Clear
- Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform (I’ve seen videos where an acrylic stamp block is used instead. When I used the TH stamp platform, the ink pulled the paper up as I lifted the cover, which defeats the purpose of using this platform. I plan to try an acrylic stamp block next time to see if it makes a difference.)
- Fiskars Procision Rotary Bypass Trimmer (12”)
- Martha Stewart Scoring Pad/Fiskars Dual Tip Embossing Stylus
- Scor-Tape: 1/4″
- Baby Wipes: To clean the stamps
Thanks for stopping by my website! Have a magical day!!!
