Nightfall Magic

I created this card using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Lavinia Stamps.

I’ve entered this card in the October Lavinia Stamps Challenge. There are so many entries and the winner is chosen randomly, but I’m crossing my fingers!!!

I began by putting a strip of Mermaid Lagoon distress ink on a glass media mat, followed by strips of Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. I didn’t need to mist them with water, as I had recently used these ink pads for another project where I had done that. Using a mini ink blending tool, I applied the inks to the cardstock, blending the inks between each color.

Next, the images were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I didn’t get a solid stamped image of the fairy, I think because of the distress inks. To solve this, I used a small paintbrush with ink from the Nocturne ink pad and filled in the lighter areas.

I added a LOT of sparkle to the card with a clear Gelly Roll pen. To finish the card, I attached the cardstock to a black cardstock base.
