I created this card using Pink Sherbet, Expresso, and Pool alcohol inks. They came together in a set, and I really like how the colors look when they’re combined. I was going for a pink crushed velvet look behind the salutation-not sure I pulled it off. 🙂
Materials Used:
- Coredinations Cardstock, Lipstick
- Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper, 5” x 7”, Translucent
- Brown Cardstock: Salutation. Strathmore Watercolor Paper, Cold Press, 90 lb. and Ranger Distress Ink, Seedless Preserves (behind the salutation)
- Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks: Pink Sherbet, Expresso, and Pool
- Sizzix Thinlits Celebration Words: Script
- Giottos AA1900 Rocket Air Blaster, LARGE (I use this to control the direction of the alcohol inks.)
- We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper Tool
- Zig 2 Way Glue
- Scor-Tape: ¼”
- An older Ranger non-stick Craft Sheet
- Krylon Matte Finish (I found that this gave the card a protective finish and a much smoother look. There was such a contrast between the dull and shiny areas of the alcohol inks on the yupo paper before I used it.)
Machine used:
- Sizzix Big Shot – with two cutting pads and the magnetic platform.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
