I created this card using stamps and a stencil by Lavinia Stamps, Brusho Crystal Colours, Tim Holtz Distress Ink/Distress Oxide, and a gel plate.
I put Olive Green, Prussian Blue, and Violet brushos separately into three palette containers; filled the containers with water; and stirred to mix. I used a brayer to apply Lavinia Stamps Pine ink to a gel plate, covering the surface evenly. I dipped a fan paintbrush into the Olive Green container; tapped the brush over the gel plate to distribute drops of the brusho water; and followed with the other two colors. I placed a sheet of Multifarious Card on the gel plate, smoothed it with my fingers, and pulled off the print.
To give the cardstock some additional dimension, I positioned the (Laurel) Lavinia Stamps’ stencil over the cardstock and used a Picket Fence Blender Brush to sponge Mowed Lawn distress oxide over it. Next, I stamped the images with VersaFine Clair inks, adding mini berries to make the archway more colorful. I debated leaving the tree trunk and branches only inked in black but decided to use the E39 copic marker instead.
To create the hearts, I sprayed some water on a strip of Picked Raspberry distress ink, then used a TH blending tool to sponge the distress ink onto a scrap piece of watercolor paper. After the ink had dried, a Fiskars Heart Pop Up Punch cut out the perfect sized hearts.
To finish the card, I highlighted some areas with a Clear Gelly Roll pen; added ‘lights’ to the fairy hives with a yellow Posca Paint Marker pen; and attached the cardstock to a black cardstock base!
